Proactive AI (Alerts & Watches)

DocuAssist doesn't just wait for you to ask questions. With Proactive AI, it actively monitors your knowledge bases and alerts you about important changes, upcoming deadlines, contradictions, or missing information.

How It Works

Proactive AI operates continuously in the background using Watches to scan your documents. When a Watch detects something that requires your attention, it generates an Alert, which is delivered to your Notification Center.

Watches

A Watch is a specific rule or instruction that tells the AI what to look for in a particular Knowledge Base.

Pre-defined Watch Types

Depending on your subscription tier, you can activate the following types of Watches:

Watch TypeRequired PlanDescription
Deadline & Terms WatchBasicAutomatically detects important dates, contract terms, and approaching deadlines within the next 30 days.
Missing Attachments CheckBasicAlerts on references to documents or attachments that are missing from the knowledge base.
Weekly Content SummaryBasicGenerates a concise summary of the most important things added to the knowledge base in the last week.
Contradiction WatchPremiumLooks for conflicting information between different document versions or contracts (e.g., differing prices, different notice periods).
Compliance CheckPremiumChecks if documents meet common standards and legislative requirements, focusing on missing mandatory elements or high-risk clauses.
Custom WatchPremiumDefine your own specific rule and prompt for the AI to monitor in your knowledge base.

Creating a Watch

  1. Open your Knowledge Base.
  2. In the Watches panel on the right (or bottom on mobile), click Create Watch.
  3. Select the type of Watch from the dropdown menu.
  4. Enter a name for your Watch.
  5. (Optional) Customize the prompt. For Custom Watches, this is where you define your specific rule.
  6. Click Create Watch.

Once created, the Watch will run automatically in the background (typically daily or weekly, depending on the system schedule) and generate alerts if necessary.

You can temporarily disable a Watch using the toggle switch or delete it using the trash icon.

Alerts Center

When a Watch finds something important, it generates an alert. You can view all your alerts in the Alerts section of your dashboard.

Alerts are categorized by severity:

  • Info: General information, like weekly summaries.
  • Warning: Potential issues, like missing documents or approaching deadlines.
  • Critical: High-risk issues, like regulatory non-compliance or direct contradictions in contracts.

Each alert contains:

  • The title of the finding.
  • The time it was generated.
  • A detailed explanation of the issue.
  • Sources: Links/references to the specific documents where the issue was found.

You can mark alerts as read to clear them from your unread count, or delete them entirely once resolved.
